Superb WW2 30 Cal Browning M2 Machine Gun Replica Model (Aircraft Variant)
The Browning 30-caliber machine gun is most commonly known as the “30 cal" and one of John Browning's designs, this one being the M1919 medium machine gun or the aircraft-specific AN/M2 variant (not to be confused with the heavy .50-caliber M2 "Ma Deuce").
It was widely used during the 20th century, especially during World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. The M1919 saw service as a light infantry, coaxial, mounted, aircraft, and anti-aircraft machine gun by the U.S. and many other countries.
This fine 40” long representation of the MC, is well constructed in metal and has a working spring action (no firing pin), lifting belt cover and aircraft/tank stand. It even has the original manufacturers (High Standard MFG Company) details stamped into one side of the breech!
Great collectors piece!
