Superb Hand Crafted 19thC Napoleonic P.O.W Bone 32 Gun 5th Rate Frigate Model
This visually stunning and impressive scratch built bone model is in fine fettle with just the odd minor imperfection commensurate with its age. It dates from the early part of the 19thC and rightly or wrongly depicts a 3 masted, 32 gun Frigate, of the Royal Navy. (I’m no expert but she does have a British Royal Crest to the bow.)
It exceptionally well crafted with an enormous amount of detail, which includes full rigging, upperdeck fixtures & fittings and port/starboard guns (see pictures for more detail).
She proudly stands 18”H x 26”L x 8”W on bone supports displayed on a more modern mahogany base. I did have thoughts to get her a glass case manufactured but this would restrict my overseas sales, so I’ll leave that privilege to the new owner.
