Here we have the 1st of two almost identical 1920-30’s Globe Wernicke Solid Oak Barristers Bookcases
This much sought after piece of antique furniture by Globe Wernicke is in fabulous used condition and is slightly different from the norm as it has a lower drawer and unglazed lower section. It is 65”H x 34”W x 14”D and stands on tapered legs, it consists of 5 sections, lower drawer with twin bronze handles, lower unglazed cabinet with interior adjustable shelf and 3 up & over glazed sections with brass knobs. The drawer interior is 6”H x 11”D, lower cabinet 12”D x 14”H and the upper 3 sections have a depth of 9.5” with clearance heights of 10.5”, 9” & 9”.
The upper section has the famous Globe Wernicke makers label within and the whole bookcase comes apart into 6 sections, including the lid for ease of transportation.
