Rare Royal Navy HMS Bradfield Bronze Commissioning Bell & Bell Rope d.1919

HMS Bradfield was a Hunt-class minesweeper built for the Royal Navy during WW1 by the Ayrshire Dockyard Company at their shipyard in Irvine and commissioned in 1919.
The Hunt-class minesweeper was a class of minesweeping sloop built between 1916 and 1919, designed to clear open water. Some were completed as survey vessels, and the majority of them arrived too late to see service during the First World War. Thirty-five were cancelled after the armistice and Interwar, eight were sold out of service, one was sold to Siam, the Bradfield which was finally scrapped in 1968!
The bronze bell is in fine fettle, with bags of patina and has the ships name & commisioning date embossed or cast into the front, it has a vintage crowned Bellrope mounted clanger and overall measures 11”H with an 11” flare.
