Now this is absolutely incredible!

Museum Quaility Scratch Built Royal Navy HMS Boxer Cased Model by the Shipwrights of London.
HMS Boxer was an Ardent-class destroyer which served with the RN, commissioned in 1895.
She spent several years operating with the Mediterranean Fleet, taking part in trials to determine the optimum colour scheme for torpedo craft in order to reduce the chance of being spotted in night attacks. In 1912 the Admiralty directed all destroyers were to be grouped into classes designated by letters based on contract speed and appearance. After 30 September 1913, as a 27-knotter she was placed in the “A Class”.
She remained active during the First World War forming part of the Portsmouth Local Defence Flotilla, but sadly she sank after a collision with the merchant ship “SS St Patrick” in the English Channel in bad weather on 8 February 1918.
This professionally created scratch-built model was crafted by the Model Shipwrights of London, it is based on the original design which featured 3 funnels but was reduced to two when in build to reduce the weight but increase the ships speed. It’s incredibly detailed with a plethora of brass fittings, rigging and is encased in a heavy bronze framed glass case on mahogany with a brass builders plate within.
It measures 52.5”L x 15.5”H x 9.5”D and would be a great addition to any collection.
