These wonderfully crafted 20thC signal cannons are in fine fettle and look amazing. A signal cannon is a type of artillery designed to make noise for signaling or saluting, rather than firing actual projectiles. They are commonly used on ships and in military contexts for communication and ceremonial purposes. Unlike regular cannons, they fire blank charges, producing a loud report without the danger of causing damage.

I’m not 100% certain that these have been used for that purpose but having upturned the 19”polished bronze barrels, remnants of something came out of both (metal fragments and black soot). They are identical and measure 21”L x 15” x 16”W with the carriages & wheels made from a heavy hard wood, adorned with cast iron metal work.
