Fabulous WW2 Royal Canadian Navy HMCS Whitby Mahogany Honours Board

HMCS Whitby (K346), was a modified Flower-class corvette built by Midland Shipyards Ltd, Ontario and fought primarily in the Battle of the Atlantic as a convoy escort.
After working up, Whitby joined the Mid-Ocean Escort Force and was assigned to escort group C-4 as a trans-Atlantic convoy escort, which she served the rest of the war with that group and was awarded with the Battle of the Atlantic Honour thereafter.
The board is in fine fettle and affixed with a cast metal ships badge to the centre above the honour. It’s made from carved mahogany and measures 4ft L x 1ft H.
Another great piece of WW2 Naval history!
